Depends on your needs and wants. If carried more than shot, then a 30S is an option with its 4 less ounces, but a little more recoil while giving you a narrower slide to boot. If range shooting comfort is more of a priority than 4 less ounces, go 30sf for a little less recoil at a cost of a slightly wider slide since that is where the 4 ounces ...231 posts · Joined 2010. #14 · Nov 6, 2010 (Edited) I have both the 21SF and 30SF. I find that the 21 has a little heavier trigger pull than the 30, which may be a characteristic of this gun only. However, I find them both about equally accurate. I do most of my dryfiring with the 21 because of the heavier trigger pull.

Ease of carry: Draw, the Glock is better for appendix IWB, 1911 for strong side IWB. Intangible: I typically carry Glocks appendix IWB, so the Glock is better for me. Glock 30SF is my pick for carry. Strive to carry the handgun you would want anywhere, everywhere; forget that good area bullcrap.

The G19 is what you're looking for and will be much more comfortable to carry, especially if IWB. As for the G19 VS G26, when most people come into the shop come in asking this question, my first question to them after putting a G26 in their hands is whether or not they're going to add extensions. 99% of the time the answer is yes, in this case I recommend the G19 because of the higher ...The H&K would be a 45c or USP 45 Compact which both have 8 round mags standard. The negative is the price and I can't find any H&K's that come with tritium night sights. The Glock 30 on the other hand holds a couple more rounds. I am super familiar with Glocks. I have owned 8, just never a 45.To me the 30 is the best. I have not shot a 36 yet but really want to. If it is as good as the 30 I will add one to my carry routine! I have a Motorcycle vest that needs something a little thinner than the 21 or 30 and not as long as the 17. 6 .45ACP rounds would do nicely in there.Custom made kydex Inside The Waistband holster for Glock 29/30/30SF. With the SF, aside from the obvious selection of magazines you can use (which applies to both guns as the 30S uses the SF frame), the ability to convert to different calibers is a huge plus. With my 30SF, I've got .45ACP, 10mm, and .40 S&W available with no more than a 10mm conversion barrel and 10mm mags.Shooting the 9mm G19, I hollowed-out a 6.5″ group. Shooting the .45-caliber G30SF, I perforated the paper with a 6.5″ group. As the Brits would say, it was six of one, half a dozen of the other. In terms of accuracy, there was nothing in it. Which means I might as well carry the .45-caliber G30SF to gain the advantages of larger bullet size ...…

I would prefer the .45 caliber over the 9mm. I would buy a 30S and invest in a good holster. A big plus with the Glock, Any .45 defensive hollowpoint ammo on the market works. NRA INSTRUCTOR.

But to me, a 45 should be at least 4.25" to 4.5" like the tradtional commander length barrel. The extra 1/2" or so of barrel sticking out of the end of that blocky Glock 30S slide is a none issue to me and will slip down the wasteband easy, like so many guys that carry a full 5" 1911 slide down their wasteband.the 30s is a 30sf with the slide of a 36.. the 30 is a double stack with 10+1 making it bigger. the 36 is single stack slim line narrower than the 30, and I think until the 42 was the narrowest gun they had. narrow is good for carry. downside is its 6+1 rounds. the 36 slide is also narrower than the 30 and 30sf, and front of slide is tapered.

As a right-handed shooter who loves a bargain, I would choose the Glock 30SF.I had a Glock 30S. It was a really nice pistol. As accurate as anything else I have ever shot and a pleasure to shoot compared to an officers model 1911. I decided to go a different direction and sold it. It is basically a G36 slide on a G30SF frame. That makes it a little lighter, about 3 oz. less compared to the G30/G30SF.
