IMI 77gr SMK Razor Core is some great shooting factory ammo. I haven't loaded 5.56 in 15yrs but saved my IMI brass. Gave it a go with the following best performing powders: (Velocities and group sizes practically identical to IMI 77SMK Razor Core) WOA 18" SPR 2-10X36 Trijicon Credo in ARC rings...The IMI 77gr rounds get out about 2550 ish from the 12.5" barrels, so you could probably go up a bit on velocity. But for close range, consider that you can push a 40gr vmax to around 3k which in the 100 yard range is pretty effective.(links below) Lets compare 75 GR BTHP Match from Hornady (Frontier vs. Superformance) and throw in IMI 77 GR BTHP Match with their Serria Match King and see ...58 (100%) The IMI was more consistent (over chrono) than MEN or CBC/Magtech. The MEN, CBC had ESs over 70 FPS where the IMI was half that. The IMI was more accurate, particularly past 200 yds. Never chrono'd the PMC X-Tac, but accuracy was/is on par with IMI. Of those two I'd go with IMI, it's legit MILSPEC m193.

Of the three the BH is the most consistent and accurate. The IMI and Magtech group about the same, usually .25 worse then BH. The IMI runs hotter then BH and the Magtech is close to the same as BH.
Dec 6, 2019 · I’ve shot the heavier stuff. I shot the magtech 77gr but they were at 2,730fps. I shot the FGMB and the Sig 77gr and they were slow. The Sigs were at 2,200fps. They were so slow I thought my chrono was wrong. The IMI razorcore shoots 2,760 for me. I wanted the extra speed to shoot farther. Magtech and IMI grouped the same and SDs were close.This AAC was less accurate than Black Hills, only hitting 1.25 to 1.5 MOA in barrels that shot 77 TMK Black Hills and handloaded 2.245 to 2.255 OAL TMKs .65 to 1.1 MOA. Then again, this was 100 degrees weather for the AAC and the Black Hills was 10-15 F cooler temps, so perhaps not a fair comparison.…
