May 16, 2022 · flyinion. Wondering what other Alpha users have found to be a good sensitivity setting for the pitch and roll axis on the Alpha for the PMDG 737? Typically I usually haven't modified it since most aircraft seem fine due to the Alpha's range of travel, but the PMDG 737 seems a bit sensitive similar to how FBW now recommends -30 on the pitch axis. The PMDG products generally do a lot of processing outside of the box to provide accurate flight dynamics for given control inputs throughout the normal flight region. This can be used as a base for other setups. NOTE : The axes are NOT configured in the Configurator. They must be assigned from within the simulator controls axes setup display. The Configurator only manages the buttons !

Yoke sensitivities IRL depend on the aircraft type, how heavy it is, how fast or slow you are going in relation to its normal cruise or max speeds, and in cable controlled aircraft even how well lubricated the pulleys and whatnot are. All I can say, is that it feels more like flying a plane than FSX did (once you get settings dialed in for your yoke and the sim's sensitivity settings). I flew PMDG's 737 in FSX a lot. Your Saitek throttle has a switch operating on the reverser detent of the throttle axis.
