There are 3 generations. First came the PT111 millenium. Taurus had reportedly trouble with the frames cracking on these first generation pistols. People who had the frames repaired seem (for the most part) to be happy after the repair. Taurus's answer to the frame cracking problem was the millenium pro. This was the second generation.

I've read in a few places that I can use 24/7 .40 S&W 15rd mags in my PT140 Millenium Pro and fill the gap between the grip & bottom of the mag with the mag extension used to fix the same magazine in the 24/7 .40 S&W Compact.The Millennium Pro compact polymer frame pistol is the 3rd generation of the Taurus series. Mainly my dry firing was for my practice but also sped up the trigger break in. Personally though I wouldn't reccommend dry firing too much without snap caps. I know I spent like 20 bucks at GM for 5, well worth the price. The Pro series seems to have worked out many of the kinks that were common in the first and second generations. As for a holster, I can't really help.
