Nitride vs phosphate barrel

You have to use phosphate when you chrome-line a barrel. Phosphate goes on the outside, chrome on the inside. Nitride barrels are nitride all over. Can't use chrome on the inside with nitride on the outside...for whatever reason. As far as I know all DD barrels are chrome-lined.

Go with the FN. Most FN barrel PSA AKs so have an ALG trigger. Factor that in as well. I believe FN barrels are double chrome lined. And nitride barrels are not. If I'm not mistaken, it's phosphate finish outside. So it may rust if not taken care.
