Anyone looking at StartUp we are directing to 3cx pro, its dirt cheap at $145/yr, and can self host (a raspberry pi works really well) or just host on lightsail, Vultr, etc for a few dollars a month. Only SBC will continue. Latest news is that 3cx will not be updated on Raspberry Pi. They previously indicated they would add the Raspberry Pi back into supported status when they switch to the next version of Debian. But that plan is now dead. They will not support the Pi as your PBX server. Translation: In the future, 4SC / 8SC will only be available via 3CX HOSTING. They are changing the way you can provision servers. They will be limiting where and how you can provision smaller licenses. You’ll either need a vpn tunnel (extra azure cost), an sbc, or stun compatible phones. If you’re doing on prem and switching to stun, you’ll need to reprovision the phones with stun and make sure you allow the use of extensions outside of the pbx lan. No hardphones in use, the link stays the same e.g. domain.my3cx.nl.
