I buy the occassional cheaper component (S.P.O.T. red dot for instance) but I always use nice components (Larue LT150 mount). I'm sure a DPMS with a nicer BCG (BCM,LMT), chrome-lined barrel, Larue handguards and mounts, Magpul furniture and a troy BUIS would probably be a fine rifle.Like any of the LaRue handguards they install nicely, the main thing to watch out for other than picking the right wrench is that the handguard itself will not fit over some types of gas blocks. Now that Larue offers MLOK for their ultimate upper handguards, I was considering getting one with the 20" .308 barrel, which I think is an OBR barrel. Does anyone have experience with these regarding accurac, specifically, the 20" barrel? LaRue doesn't work that way, the handguard is attached to the upper receiver but not where the barrel nut threads are located, so you can put as much strain on that handguard and it will not come in contact with the barrel nut in anyway keeping a true free floating platform.
