Baffle strikes
It is a horrible idea to run .22 ammo through a welded closed, unserviceable can. It will foul it up to the point where baffle strikes with the lead and carbon build up are possible/likely. There is a reason why .22 cans are serviceable.the nick at 12 o'clock is definitely a baffle strike, very light. The nick is consistent on the three baffles. No way that is machining. Try an alignment rod down the bore, or just keep shooting it. Maybe a flyer, or your rate of fire was high?
