The fiber equivalent of a modem is the ONT (Optical Network Terminal). AT&T Fiber uses an ONT. So it goes fiber into the ONT, then Ethernet from the ONT to the AT&T gateway (aka router). You could use MoCA to go from the ONT to the gateway. IOW, ONT---MoCA===MoCA---gateway/router.
