I run Plex/JF with AT&T fiber. They gave me the Arris BGW210 router, which is unfortunately required for authentication on their network. But it has a "passthrough" mode that allows you to run your own router behind it, essentially making it transparent. The router behind it gets the WAN IP, and then you just configure port forwarding and such ...I'm moving to an area with ATT fiber soon. I currently have Frontier Fiber which has an outside ONT box with an ethernet outlet. That box serves as the modem for Frontier. The ethernet is then ran to a central location in my house where my router/switch is. I just want to mimic this if possible. I wonder if it requires the inside box.
