The Clinical Health Psychology Department strives to provide leadership in our field, both professionally and academically. Our residency program, established over 50 years ago, has earned a national reputation for excellence in training. We aim to inspire through our teaching, heal through our clinical service, and innovate through our science.The distinct focus of Clinical Health Psychology within our program is on physical health problems, and more specifically emphasizes the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of illness and disability, the promotion and maintenance of health, and the improvement of the health care system.
