The grip itself is molded to fit your hand exceptionally well. Reliability * * * *. Reliability has been superb for a .22 rimfire.With those differences being covered let us move on to the review of the Colt Huntsman. I may make a mention or nod to the Colt Woodsman model during this review as well. Ergonomics Overall. The Colt Huntsman is an extremely ergonomic gun which is impressive given the fact it was developed in 1955.On a side note, Woodsman mags will not work in a Cadet. They lack the slot on the top for the Cadet's mag release. Actually there is a Colt Factory Magazine that functions correctly in the 2nd Series Woodsman, 3rd Series and Cadet models. When Colt switched from Coltwood (a material similar to Bakelite) to injection molded plastic, changes were made in the grip frame area to accomodate the tabs. Those later grips (bottom) will not fit an early type 2nd series Woodsman frame (top).
