I've compared the Max to an original LCP on handgunhero website and the Max is just plain bigger. It has to be to fit those extra rounds. For me, anything bigger than the LCP is just not a pocket gun. That's my opinion/experience only. Reliability and accuracy have been top notch. The trigger's not a 1911 but plenty good enough for the gun's intended purpose. I've experienced much worse on full size gun that cost much more. Range Impressions. Shooting the LCP II was much easier than the original and also easier than my previous favorite, the S&W Bodyguard.3. The LCP is small enough to fit in a pocket, but there are plenty of concealment holsters for both, so this shouldn't be a concern. 4. The Smith has a metal frame, the LCP has a polymer frame. The LCP has a noticeable and slightly uncomfortable recoil. 5. The LCP is flatter, making it less likely to print.For things we can measure up front it is an all around better gun, better shooting, more ammo, easier to grip, better sights, less recoil. So I would argue the Max is better at the range and better as a carry than the LCP ii.
