2011 silverado frame rust recall
I have a 2009 chevy silverado that has been experiencing some spot frame rust. That black greasy coating that is on the frame is peeling off on some portions and that is where rust has shown up. If you raise the truck with a frame lift, the pads on the lift will rub the coating on the frame right off. The surface treatment is not durable at all. Thought for sure I was gonna be turned away. Was just told that Gm has opened up the pocket book to repair rust on all sorts of vehicles. I think 2003 or newer. Not 100% sure.
