Overview. Quivira National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) includes a diversity of sand prairie, inland salt marsh, and freshwater wetland habitat. The refuge contains two large (>900 ac each) salt marshes, >30 managed wetland units, and many other wetlands interspersed throughout upland habitat totaling over 7,000 surface acres.These hunts are as good as hunting the refuges. The properties consist of 2,500 acres around the Quivira Wildlife Refuge, 500 acres by the Cheyenne Bottoms refuge, and another 4,000 acres of prime ground in between the two refuges. These properties have all been strictly managed for many years and have several 170+ deer on them year after year.
