Hello! I drive a manual 2002 Acura RSX (base model) with 140k miles. Lately it’s been throwing a p1078 code (intake manifold runner control valve malfunction) I took the runners out and cleaned them up, reinstalled, now it’s throwing a p1077 code with the same (intake manifold runner control valve malfunction) message.Mar 22, 2019 · So my son has a 05 RSX Base Leather in automatic that has a Cel on for P1077. I have replaced the complete intake manifold, cleaned out the IMRC butterflies or what ever its called. Replaced the position valve, tested all the wiring and all is good, checked the vacuum on the IMRC Valve and its good. Replace the filter bypass valve. I need instructions on reinstalling the runner, I see there might be a trick to lining it up properly. Im buying the new runner complete from Honda with new sensor and IMT valve already on it.
