It blends academic rigor on par with UCSF with a relaxed and humane environment. I had really compelling reasons to want to go to Stanford, but I was advised not to risk it. Jonnie Perez from Stanford admissions told me that about 5 ppl apply EDP every year and maybe 0-1 get in. It doesn't seem worth it at all!
