A graduate of Yale and the Iowa Writer's Workshop, her short stories have been published in two collections, The Best American Short Stories, 1999 and the anthology Twenty-Five and Under.Packer's stories have also appeared in the New Yorker, Harper's Magazine, Story Magazine, and Ploughshares.ZZ Packer was born Zuwena Packer in Chicago, Illinois in 1973. She spent most of her early years in Atlanta, Georgia and Louisville, Kentucky. After receiving a BA from Yale and an MA from Johns Hopkins, she taught high school for two years before committing to her writing career and pursuing her MFA at Iowa Writers' Workshop.
