We did Bruin Day on 4/15 and Cal Day yesterday.No one knows exact numbers but UCLA the #1 public university made a lot of noise last week with huge waitlist release. The UCs from outside looking in haven’t hit their numbers. UCLA has to fill their spots and know students will pick them vs other highly rated UC but not 100% of them. Which UC are in the middle UC Davis, UC Irving, UCSB, UCSD ?They are based upon units completed at UC Davis. They don’t include APs but do include transferable community college courses. Taking an extra 1-2 unit seminar class or a summer class can help a student get an earlier pass time at Davis. Perhaps someone with more detailed info on the process can clarify, but I don’t think having ELC vs State is going to be the deciding factor on an acceptance. I suppose ELC can be particularly helpful to admissions officers if they are unfamiliar with the high school, but the school profile should also clarify average GPA, etc. and help ...
