Citori vs cynergy
As DrMike noted a "Citori" is really a basic action, around which Browning has built a lot of different models including the X25s, the XS series and most of the hunting shotguns. From my research the biggest difference between the 525 and the 425 series (I didn't look back the the 325) is in the sporting clays series.Is a Browning Cynergy still a Citori or is it it's own model. Fellow I shoot with has 1. Sent to Briley had tube issues, finally corrected the problems but said he needed firing pin springs & they can't get them. That doesn't sound right to me but I really don't know. Wolff Springs is very close to us, I suggested calling them.

Remember the standard LOP on a cynergy is 14 1/4 and usually 14 5/8 to 14 7/8 on a citori. There are shims you can use to adjust 1/8 inch at a itme on the cynergy plus a longer pad. I`d say your LOP is longer than the way a cynergy comes stock.I will add two things: First, most folks either shoot a Browning or Beretta well. Few like both. Beretta is a lower receiver and the Browning ( even the 725 "new" low receiver, is deeper than a Beretta/CG/B. Rizzini) and that does affect handing. I like my field 20 gauge Citori Lightning with 28" barrels better than I liked the 725. Looked at both in the store along with a Cynergy and went with the used Citori. And the decision was not highly cost based. Though I did spend less. Got to shoot the gun yesterday for the first time I have shot since Feb. I like the feel and balance of the Cynergy better. I know it is personal, but I have always preferred the slimmer receiver of a Beretta (& now the Cynergy) over the far thicker Citori. It is really noticeable with the smaller gauge guns. Both are good guns but have totally different handeling. The Citori is a tall reciever, the Cynergy is a low profile reciever and IMHO is a much more responsive handeling gun.Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon. 2 clays in 1.19 seconds.
