Community mindfulness project

So we founded Community Mindfulness Project to make mindful meditation more accessible. Over the past eight years CMP has worked to eradicate the barriers that keep people from accessing the benefits of mindful meditation. Our community sessions are: Free and open to anyone. Secular and science-based, offered in accessible and inclusive language.

Detox from the stress of the day with a live guided meditation session. Each 30-minute session is appropriate for first-time meditators and those with long-standing practices. There will be a brief chat about the meditation, a guided meditation and then a chance to share and reflect. People can join“I’m no good at meditation. I can’t stop thinking.” People often feel that they have “failed” at meditation when they notice how active their minds are.  There is a misperception that mindfulness meditation means sitting still and shutting all thoughts out of the mind.&aCMP is a licensed charity in the state of CT as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
