I wanted a 4" barrel also. However, the X compact grip felt sooo good and the X carry grip was way too big. So, I chose an X carry with an X compact grip. I've also got an X carry small grip which is better than the medium for me. If you find the medium X carry too large also, give the small a try.The X compact has a 3.6" inch barrel and is one of the smaller P320s. It uses the same magazines and is the same height as the P320 compact. The compact has a 3.9" barrel and for all intents and purposes is considered a carry size.
