While the Walther P22, Ruger SR22 and S&W M&P 22 were going for $300+ The price of the TX was $230-250 and Taurus then began offering a $50 factory rebate.The Taurus TX22 is a great pistol with more features and better ergos than the Glock 44 (or any other Glock for that matter), for $ 100 less. I've outfitted my standard model with the TX22 Competition Kit shown below, which consists of an open top Beretta style aluminum slide, 5" heavier threaded barrel, and clever optic mounting system that attaches to the barrel and not the slide.The TX22 is a great pistol.
