Loosen the bolts on the U shaped bracket that the front of the actuator is mounted to. Then pry the bracket forward and tighten the bolts. Another thing to look for is to make sure the knife arms are not contacting anything when the actuator cycles.One other thing is whether you look for new or used. Used JD balers are too high in price, plain and simple. New, everything is on a level playing field, but used, you can find a Vermeer or MF for 50% of what you can find a JD for.
