Seasoned and ready for her first big cook. Ordered my 1975 Workhorse Pit last year around August/September. It was delivered a week ago and so far I am loving this thing. Only had time to cook a few steaks and sear using the cowboy firebox, but I can tell this pit is a beast. Glad I opted for the wagon package, too.

Another factor may be the door weight. Apparently the door isn't that much heavier on the 1975. I have the 1975 and have never regretted it. Especially given that cost difference isn't that much. Side note. I have a Weber Mastertouch 22". Almost every time I use it, I wish I would have paid a little extra and gotten the 26".
