Modpack: FTB ultimate reloaded for 1.12.2 with Tinkers' construct. Tinkers' is the only mod I have installed on top of that modpack (apart from optifine). Can't get the smeltery to work no matter what I try (even messing around in creative) - with just bricks, bricks and glass, drains, no drains, moving the tank and smeltery controller around.Make sure this redstone signal is adjacent to the smeltery spigot to trigger it to pour into a block basin. You are mistaken about 1.12 mechanics, or confusing the seared furnace and the smeltery structure. Also, the Mindcrack guys and other youtubers are showing people how they dump multiple ores into the smeltery. This is a bad practice because you can end up creating unintended alloys. Gold and Silver become electrum, tin & copper become bronze, and almost sorts of combinations depending on your mod pack's selection of mods.
