Remington speedmaster 552.
Just purchased a 552 from a member. Shooting cci sv (and 2 other brands) it fires, ejects case, loads a round,, then on second shot a failure to fire, then very difficult to extract by hand. Disassembled and did complete clean. Removed carbon ring in chamber (Kroil, c4) and cleaned barrel. Same problem. Any ideas?

The lower leg on the P is somewhat short, but there's enough there that I can tell it IS a "P". (It also has the plain wood and 23 1/2" barrel) I would disregard the numbers ("78"). They are essentially assembly and/or inspectors' marks. Mine has "55" stamped in it.I've got a Remington speedmaster 552 that I'm curious about so any help would be appreciated.
