When I unplug the unit then plus it back in the blue light starts flashing immediately, and does not cycle. When I press the rest button, the blue light goes out and the yellow light flashes quickly. I have checked and cleaned the pinch sensor, no change. The problem didn’t solve after I cleaned up pinch pins.I don't recommend that anyone orders a litter robot. There is obviously little to no quality control and validation involved with this product, unless I have gotten two faulty bases (not likely).
