Also wondering when full functionality with HT_Name and HT_Gender will be fully implemented. Please refer to the following screenshots. I made a box of Eternatus with Red as the OT_Name and Blue as the HT_Name with both having a gender of male.

You need to set the ability number as well as the index for it to be recognized in game. PKHeX loads the ability number and ignores the ability ID, which is misleading you.
