(NYSE: FE), have submitted an application to the Public Service Commission of West Virginia for approval to build five utility-scale solar energy projects throughout the companies' West Virginia service territory.Severe weather in West Virginia on Friday afternoon has left tens of thousands of customers without power. At 6:30 p.m., Appalachian Power reported nearly 53,000 total outages in the southwestern part of the state.
