As far as i know the max xp/h you can get a amo-crabs is ca 81k at a 3 crab spawn (including the amount of time it takes to reagro). This is the xp rate i get when i melee them. I have to wait for them to respawn while i just stand there, because i kill them faster than the time they use to respawn.
