We visited Strataca, the underground salt mine in Hutchinson, KS, during mid-summer when the temps were 100+ degrees above ground. We so enjoyed the 68 degree, cool temps, down 650 ft. below ground level. The historical items that are found in the salt mines along with the stories that accompany the items are amazing.
